Applying a Multi-Tiered Lens to Support Social-Emotional Supports

SEL and MTSS were widely talked about subjects even before the pandemic. As we head toward reopening, they will both take on even more significance as students return from varied home experiences and levels of school engagement over the past year. Shifting from a student deficit model to a system deficit model is critical to creating systems that fully support returning students.  
 
In this webinar, Rhonda Beasley, Assistant Director of Differentiated Assistance & District Support at the Santa Clara County Office of Education, will take us through how we can look at changing systems to support SEL by using an MTSS lens.  
 
We will also hear how Sunnyvale Middle School implemented MTSS through an iterative process and the lessons they learned along the way.
